- Set up tables and ensure complete service, from transporting the trolley to clearing dishes and cleaning tables
- Ensure the tidying, maintenance and cleaning of all materials, equipment and utensils necessary for table service
- Take customer orders and pass them on to the kitchen, advising and clarifying any questions based on in-depth knowledge of the restaurant menu
- Accompany customers and refer any situations of dissatisfaction to the Head Waiter, ensuring a swift and effective response
- Carry out the billing process, issuing invoices/receipts in coordination with the Head Waiter
Profile
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in waiting tables, preferably in high-end restaurants
- Genuine enjoyment of serving, welcoming and interacting with customers, with an attentive and helpful attitude at all times.
- Ability to anticipate needs, act on your own initiative and actively support the front-of-house team and management to ensure impeccable service.
- Knowledge of table service, mise en place rules and, if possible, some familiarity with the wine and drinks list
- Strong sense of organisation, attention to detail and rigour in complying with procedures and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Well-groomed and professional appearance, appropriate to the environment of our restaurant.
- Ability to adapt to flexible schedules
