- Support the organisation and management of the dining room service, ensuring quality and compliance with standards
- Supervise the waitstaff team, distributing tasks and ensuring operational efficiency
- Welcome customers, seat them at tables and offer a positive and distinctive experience
- Set tables and ensure complete service during the meal
- Take customer orders, relay them to the kitchen and provide advice on the menu
- Monitor the customer experience, identifying dissatisfaction and reporting to the Head Waiter
- Carry out the billing process and ensure the daily closing of sales, in accordance with internal procedures
- Support team management, promoting a positive working environment
- Replace, whenever necessary, the Head Waiter, waiters and sommeliers in their duties
Profile
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in middle management or senior management roles in fine dining restaurants or 5-star hotels.
- Ability to support the Head Waiter in leading and motivating the team, setting an example of excellence and contributing to the development and training of the front-of-house team.
- Genuine passion for welcoming and caring for customers, with exquisite attention to detail to ensure a memorable and exclusive experience at all times.
- Good knowledge of wines, other beverages, and the restaurant menu, with the ability to advise customers in an experienced and confident manner.
- Experience in supporting reservation management, dining room organisation and service coordination, ensuring the fluidity and perfection of all operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with the team (kitchen and dining room) and with customers, knowing how to manage and resolve situations proactively and discreetly.
- Highly organised, meticulous in maintaining the mise en place of the dining room and high-quality service protocols.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (mandatory). Knowledge of other languages (French, Spanish) is an asset.
- Well-groomed and professional appearance, appropriate to the environment of our restaurant
- Ability to adapt to flexible schedules and the dynamism of the service, anticipating needs and acting with initiative to ensure total customer satisfaction.
